Guest guest
Hello again, I am back, with my old email address. I've been away and depressed. Firstly, thanks to Mavreela for being such a moderate moderator, I'm saying this because I had four different email addresses on vegan- network and I think they all got moderated (I was having a brief personality crisis). Secondly, does anyone have a garden and not think they are the most wonderful things to have? An ecosystem all of one's own. I throw all the seeds, pips and fruit stones that I don't eat into it, I sometimes urinate and shit in it, as does the cat, and there's all sorts of microscopic life in it. And the trees add to the decor. In time, hopefully some of the seeds will sprout, I'm just realising how grateful I am because I've always lived in flats and only recently have I moved into a place with a garden. Guest guest
Welcome back. > Firstly, thanks to Mavreela for being such a moderate moderator Well I'm sure there are plenty of people who would disagree. > vegan-network and I think they all got moderated (I was having a brief > personality crisis). What's happening over there then? Until my replacement Hard Drive arrives tomorrow I don't have access to email so am only following the groups I moderate. I wouldn't take it personally though, things happen in mysterious ways on that list. Michael

Guest guest
I did a little tour of my garden, at http://zurumato.phanfare.com just click on the green box. It still needs a lot of work, and I don't have much time for it lately because of my job. one exicting thing is that my heirloom watermelons and corn are coming in and doing well, also an heirloom tomato called brandywine. we have eaten about ten tomatoes so far and they were soooo good. my corn has some caterpillers but I don't know if they are good or bad so I just left them there. I am still helping to raise monarch butterflies by caring for the caterpillars. let me know if anyone wants to share seeds, maybe I have something that you want. > > > As you say, it would be good to hear about other people's gardens. > > BB > Jo > > - > " earthstrm " <earthstorm > > Saturday, April 29, 2006 12:54 PM > Re: New Dr Who > >

Guest guest
there were more, but now there is just one, a big one, gray with a line on it. I figure it's not a problem, I have never grown corn before. I am shocked that I am doing this and I stare and stare at it like I have never seen corn grow before. I look at it every morning and cannot believe that this tall plant came from a tiny seed that I planted. being from the city, this is like a miracle to me. I cannot believe that it is real corn growing. cannot get over it. how slow it grows, how unconnected I was. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > wot do the caterpillars on the corn look like? > > > >Anouk Sickler <zurumato > >May 1, 2006 9:01 PM > > > > Re: gardens > > > >I did a little tour of my garden, at http://zurumato.phanfare.com > >just click on the green box. > > > >It still needs a lot of work, and I don't have much time for it > >lately because of my job. > > > >one exicting thing is that my heirloom watermelons and corn > >are coming in and doing well, also an heirloom tomato called > >brandywine. > >we have eaten about ten tomatoes so far and they > >were soooo good. > > > >my corn has some caterpillers but I don't know if they are > >good or bad so I just left them there. > > > >I am still helping to raise monarch butterflies by caring for > >the caterpillars. > > > >let me know if anyone wants to share seeds, maybe I have something > >that you want. > > > > > >> > >> > >> As you say, it would be good to hear about other people's gardens. > >> > >> BB > >> Jo > >> > >> - > >> " earthstrm " <earthstorm@> > >> > >> Saturday, April 29, 2006 12:54 PM > >> Re: New Dr Who > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > >To send an email to - > >

Guest guest
hi fraggle, the soil in my backyard is sandy. we have so much sand that my kids play " in the sand " in a little corner, and they do not come out muddy. i beleive that in the past something must've happened, because I keep finding many, many seashells, beautiful ones, whenever I am digging up the ground. I am just ten minutes from the beach, at sea level, so I am thinking that there was once a tsunami in my neighborhood, millions of years ago. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > trying....trying.... > like i said in another e-mail..our soil is absolute garbage, and its gonna take awhile to build it up... > > > > >Anouk Sickler <zurumato > >May 11, 2006 8:38 AM > > > > Re: gardens > > > >wow! > >that's really impressive, > >you have a lot of work to do! > > > >you have a small supermarket > > > >what kind of plants are these? > >>Black Krimm > >> Sebastopol > > > >and what does lovage taste like? > >>lovage > > > > > > > > , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@> wrote: > >> > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >To send an email to - > >
