a child to deal with this. God bless him.

I didn't realize asthma could develop in adulthood.

I didn't either. I thought that it was something that you were born with or got

in childhood. I argued with my doctors for a year over that diagnosis. I had

every lung test imaginable. I couldn't breathe and thought that I was dying,

literally! I think that having mold in our old house is what brought it out. I

suggest anyone that thinks they may have mold in their walls, to please check it

out. We had no idea it was as bad as it turned out to be. It started with a

little spot in the backroom.

I've heard it is extremely expensive to professionally clean

a house of mold. Is this true? Or did you take measures on

your own to get rid of it?

We were renting at that time and so we just up and moved when the landlord

wouldn't do anything about it. He died right before we moved out so we stopped

it there. I do hear that it is quite expensive. Someone has since bought this

house and gutted the whole thing.
