Guest guest
I truly appreciated you sharing your ideas about courses, but I am pretty sure a course to do with childcare would not be my thing. I'd prefer MrsBig to share her experiences via her husband as she is in such a similar situation to me as a mother with young children to care for full-time and no extended family locally to help with childcare. I don't think they have any solutions, not that they will admit to it. They just tell me they have a solution but won't share with me what they do because they think I deserve no support. They obviously do this because in their own twisted way they like to increase my anger and frustration, but I am no worse off for them not sharing, I'm no better off either but at least their mean attitude can't make my situation any worse. Guest guest
This proves is musically talented and creative, I did check this out some time ago when you posted the link once before, and I wish her all the best with that, it can't be easy to combine such activities with looking after lively and demanding kids and I hope she can still continue with her music if that is what she wants to do. However none of this proves she is a better person than anyone else, including me. If she was a compassionate person she would not have smoked in pregnancy, it's not fair on the kids. Lots of musicians and artists are pretty screwed up so it proves nothing about her really. Lesley pctalking [pctalking] 28 April 2002 20:17 Re: Dead right, Leslie! Guest guest
I certainly think mothers who smoke in pregnancy should have their kids taken away, and placed with adoptive or foster parents who do not smoke, I know very well how much a child can suffer from second-hand smoke exposure, but I never actually grassed anyone, because unfortunately this issue is not taken seriously as a form of child abuse, the way it ought to be. If someone has aborted one baby, how can they be considered safe to be a mother especially if they have been proved to be a danger by smoking in the pregnancy with the child they are keeping therefore showing little regard for the baby's health and safety? Guest guest
Better ask the kids! I just know that if I had been offered the option I would have begged to be taken away from my chain-smoking mother, so long as I could live in a smoke-free home. I even preferred being smacked for doing wrong above the constant smoke I had to breathe, because most physical punishment is over fairly quickly, whereas a smoky house is continuous torture for a sensitive child. Why do you keep mentioning the West family, I thought it was their own child Heather that they killed as well as young female lodgers, did they actually have foster kids?? Guest guest
" If kids really want to stay with smoking parents, and they are of an age to decide, then let them stay in the foul air, but I think they should be teenagers before they are old enough to make an informed choichave e, and should be protected until then. " Goodness you ARE lucky girls and boys! Untill you are old enough to be able to have your own opinions, Mother Leslie is making your decisions for you! And how do we show our gratitude, children? VIV, don't be so RUDE! She probably can't help the way she smells and she's not a nasty old hag! One day you will thank her for taking mummy and daddy away to prison and putting you in Mrs Rochester's Home For Waifs! OH YES YOU WILL, child! I will speak to Aunt Janey about you and will be sent to bed without any bread and jam and you won't like that so you can take that grin right off your face you SILLY L-I-T-T-L-E GIRRRL! --Anne Widdescumbag Jnr _______________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
