Guest guest
I phoned the Vegan Society the other day, and the only animal-free painkiller they knew of was one called Solpadol (not the capsule form tho'). It's paracetamol and codeine and my husband got it for me because I have pulled a muscle in my back, the doctor had to prescribe it as it's not available OTC. Unfortunately I had a very bad reaction, the side-effects were even worse than the back pain, so I couldn't continue with it. I think it was the codeine that didn't suit me, I seem to have a sensitive metabolism, just my luck. Has anyone here investigated painkillers other than the ones the Vegan Society have already checked out? I definitely don't want one containing codeine again. I'm a bit better today but not before two and a half days of agony and Paul has already taken unpaid leave the last three days to look after the children. Guest guest
Cannabis is a fantastic painkiller Lesley, and contrary to your muffled opinion, it does not need to be smoked. Ingested cannabis is one of the safest painkillers known, and it is 100% vegan, so what are you waitng for? Would you like me to send some vegan cannabis chocolate truffles? Guest guest
Thanks Doc, I expected this to be your advice, but considering how sensitive I am to so many things, tobacco smoke, and as I have just found out, codeine extremely so, I would be a little more worried about (in my case unwanted) side-effects, than I would about legality. I support totally non-smoked cannabis as a therapeutic for those who do need it for severe pain, MS, for example, I'm just not sure if it would be right for me. I do not react well to alcohol or I would expect most drugs, and it totally scares me not to feel fully mentally in control. Besides you might get Michael into trouble for allowing you to promote and even possibly deal in illegal drugs on his , and we don't want that do we? Someone might grass you up, though not me as I know you are trying to be helpful in this case. Guest guest
sensitive to codeine? ho ho...tobacco?...ho ho... both of these are man made chemical weapons (or at least doctored with them). Organic Cannabis should never be compared with such junk. As for the side effects..you may find yourself in the horrible scenario of appreciating sound, music, colours much more. You may also find that your thoughts flow more lucidly and that anxiety and stress is often relieved. No, I am not dealing drugs as you calously suggest oh so typically. It was a joke; that I, or anyone else interested in the merits of cannabis with regard to alternative therapy would be able to help you is a ridiculous notion. Your past actions and consistant opinions castrate you from any engagement and render me helpless to your crys. So long poor victim of eternal suffering and great pains. Besides I don't think making any such recommendation is illegal, after all you could easily take that advice by taking a quick trip across to the Netherlands without breaking the law. Telling you where to find a dealer could possibly be pushing it, but no one would be that stupid to give away such information on the list. Guest guest
Yes, but that is no way so common as getting paranoid from cannabis, I've heard of it loads of times.
