Guest guest
Hi Shell Yes, I think when you are young you see and hear things and although you don't understand them (ie. I had never heard of a battery farm before and so didn't know what sort of building I was walking into) you see things that you don't like. I remember seeing my grandmother plucking the feathers off chickens. I remember seeing the blood. I'm not saying growing up on the farm made me become a vegan but it definitely planted the seed. I've always been mad about animals - always had pets. So I guess its a combination of the two. Animals are my friends and I don't eat my friends! Guest guest
The farm was sold when my grandparents retired and now nobody in my family farms. My mum is particularly great about me being a vegan and always caters for me well when I visit. :-) Love, Janey x - " andy.mich " <andy.mich Sunday, May 26, 2002 7:42 PM Re: instinctively knowing/Shell. > Hi Janey, yes, I think you're right. Guest guest
Hi Janey, yes, I think you're right. Does your family still keep animals? How do you mannage going home for visits. My veganism has caused huge problems with my family. Love shell.
