It worked out for everyone; the little animals had a safe place to be when hunting season was on, and I had a safe bit of forest to play in. The Duke of Northumberland owns the farm and they breed pheasants for shooting. Luckily some of them come in our garden, where they fill themselves on the wildbirdfood we put out.
