Hmmm problem is my kids have been going round singing

the 'meatclown' tune all evening... I've even got it constantly

running through my head in that irritating way that is noramlly

reserved for Abba tunes...

Same here! MeatClown's place is right on our corner about 3 houses

down :( And their hook gets even worse. C'mon in kiddies, we have a

playland! And then of course there is the Happy Meal. Buy a burger

and fry get a toy! Fast Food in our neighborhood/city/state/country

is pushed even harder than cocaine in the street. At least drugs

don't have their own commercials!

i know its only a facet of it..but...fast food resturants also build in sooo

much waste into the stream of life...ever see the neighborhood around a

mcdeathburger?

and, someone eatin at home is pretty unlikely to take the dishes out to the car

and then toss em out the window...

i made the mistake more then once of stoppin my bike when someone tossed a bag

of some such fastfood crap out their window, grabbed the bag, rode up to the

next stoplight, and either handed it back to em sayin " you dropped this " or just

tossin it back in the window....

either way, it was followed with a quick getaway on my bike...

after being followed all throughout oakland i decided it probably it wasn't

among the smartest things i have done....

and learned that if someone is pissed at you they will do just about anything to

get back at you.....drive on the wrong side of the road, drive thru stopsigns,

etc...

wheeeeee

NOT DUMB! Nice, beneficial to mommy earth, caring, considerate,

thoughtful.....

oh wait, remembering yer neighborhood is much like the one I grew up

in

uh, yeah, sorry darlin' - dumb LOL! ;)

what really messes me up with McD's on the corner is when they park

in front of my house or a neighbors to eat and the kids are outside

never know if they are enjoying lunch or stalking the kids

I always go out and ask them to move

if they look threatening I bring the dog

plus there is their garbage on our lawns as well as whatever blows

down the block from the dumpsters

ahh, civilazation - a step forward?

who said " western civilization? sounds like a great idea! " ?

on the subject, i can remember quite clearly being about..oh..8 er so..maybe

9..just a wee lil fraggle..and going on one of the sunday drives with the

parental units(how quintessentially american!)..stoppin at some fast food dive

er another and gettin beer and soda at a 7/11...an hour or so later...the folks

got into a huge row because my step mother had chucked the bags of stuff out the

window..and dear old dad wasn't upset because she tossed it out, " know was

looking " was her argument..nopw..he was pissed because it landed on someones

lawn...like its ok if it landed in a pond er something..and my father considered

himself a nature lover..of course, he also loved trapping and hunting...nature

looks better when its dead skinned and sold apparantly...

ya know nikki..i think it must say something about society when we are afraid

for our children all the time...is that person stalking them? does he/she mean

to run off with them? is the meter man really just reading the meter??

climate of fear....

maybe you could offer them some produce from yer garden instead when they park

out front

*knock knock* on the window

" excuse me sir? , yes, i couldn't help noticing that you must be famished, since

you are ingesting those gizzards and salt..well, i thought you would like some

real food, here, have a tomato..

wots that? oh, sir, thats taste, its suppose to taste like that, i swear, its

not poison

no sir, tomatoes are not suppose to taste like cardboard, that is really how

they taste..and yes, it comes in its own edible package, nothing to throw

away... "

ok..so, its a dream..allow me that...

LOL :) that is probably how it would go too! Just grapped me first

pepper from the garden and it actually smells like a pepper!!!

now wait a minute - first ya told me to give the guy (ahem-jerk)in

the back of me easement veggies when he dumped his lawn clippings all

over me beautiful wildflower bed

now, ya want me to give them to the people who dump their lunch bags

on my lawn too! the ones that stalk the neighborhood children

oh my, I'm nice and all, but not quite that nice!

passive, but not that passive

friendly, but born and bred south side of chicago gal

i would rather dontae a nice big ol' box of organic veggies to my

local shelter (which we do) than waste them on the refuse who feel it

is tis quite alright to dirty the world and kill the innocent

i understand where you are going with this and so truly appreciate it

but just cannot do it - besides, with the amount of speeding traffic

we get throwing their stuff on the lawns, there would be no veggies

left

sorry, tooo tooo much fer me fraggle :(

luv ya to death pal, but t'aint gonna happen
