Hi people.

I'm new to this board....

i've tried to find some hair care products that are vegan, but

realised that many well-known brands are too difficult to find and

purchase from ordinary drug-stores or markets.

I'd like to know whether there are some easy-to find ones that are

good.

Any recommendations please?

Thanks!!

Hi Aurora,

I'm new too. Good to not be the only one!

I use Sainsbury's Almond & Mallow shampoo and

conditioner. It smells really nice.

I just looked it up in my Vegan Shopper (just received

it yesterday - it felt like Christmas!) & it's listed

in its animal free glory! There are also a couple of

others listed & if you want me to post them I will.

Most of the other suppliers I had never heard of,

except Lush & co-op like Angie suggested. I know there

aren't either of those that near me :-(

Hi Angie,

I am new to UK and currently living in Edinburgh.

I see...so is the Lush shop those small soaps (very strong fragrance

and colorful soaps) that sell lots of soaps, own-made masks and also

body cleansing products?

Thanks~!

Personally I use Superdrug products.

I used to use Australian Plantation Tea-tree shampoo but at just under £5 a

bottle it was just too expensive for my long flowing locks. The Superdrug

own brand shampoo is nothing fancy, but it's a larger bottle, much cheaper

(under £2), vegan, and it gets the job done.

Yes Aurora, Nothing is tested and many things are vegan ---Watch out for honey and egg -- They have a newspaper that explains contents and the staff will help They use a green dot to mean vegan at some shops . You can get stuff by ordering on line but its better to know what the stuff is like first . I love it !!!!!! You can get the soaps cut to different sizes Better to get small amounts first . Do they have one in Edinburgh?

Hi Angie,

Thanks~^^

There's a Lush shop very close to where I live, but I was never aware

that it's actually vegan...

I thought that solid soap bars were made from tallow and was put off

first by the strong smell~*^^*

But i'll go in next time and explore the products~!

thanks very much
