plant propogation, slightly off topic, though they are vegan ;-)

Hi! having missed the chat, well sort of, I was bored and started

going through the profiles. I see one of your interests is plant

propogation. can you give me some advice? I've been trying to get

some lemmon balm and spearmint cuttings growing, but they just die.

I put them in some compost in a pot and put the pot outside, covered

with polythene to protect them. Just got some more and have left

them in a vase of water, hoping they will take root. two of them

already have roots on, as the root came up as I pulled; should I put

them straight into the ground? Any advice much appreciated.
