Hi all,

How are you getting on with preparations for Christmas?? (I've yet to do my cards and finish off shopping)

I have now given up meat - I was getting sick of eating chicken etc and so I went to Sainsburys and bought a whole lot of stuff. I tried the "vegetarian choice" sausages and loved them. I also bought a whole lot of Quorn stuff.

This veggie lark is so liberating i.e. not having to feel guilty about eating meat anymore, also it helps that my parents are ok about me doing 'my own thing' .....as long as I do the cooking!!

I had thought about waiting until after Christmas but to be honest what got me started was the Good Food 'Vegetarian Christmas' special - I thought, great now I can have veggie stuff whilst everyone else can have yucky turkey....

Anyway I don't want to go on and on but seeing as I hadn't posted for quite some time, plus thought some 'good news' would be welcome?!

Thanks for your support and, yes I have been following the postings with great interest - including that 'turkey race' which I gather is still going ahead but all the turkeys are being put out to 'stud' afterwards - is that right?

Bye for now

Well done kicking the meat habit, Nick. Glad that you're doing it

before the new year? Kudos.

Remember, if you need in advice (note: i'm not promising sagacity!),

don't hesitate to ask this fine group of people! :))

Take good care,

k@
