Guest guest
I emailed Safeway yesterday asking if there was any chance they could introduce more vegan food into the store. Just got the below reply. Thought someone might like to read it. <3 Shari Black Velvet www.blackvelvetmagazine.com - <nutrition <shari Thursday, January 09, 2003 2:37 PM Re: Safeway/Letters - Re. Vegan Food Hi Shari Thanks for your recent e-mail regarding the above. Vegetarian and vegan foods are becoming more popular and for this reason we are launching a new vegetarian range of foods in the Spring, a number of these will also be suitable for vegans. At the moment I'm afraid we do not label products that are suitable for vegans and we are unable to update our vegan foods list as our product database is not currently set up to run this query. In the meantime if there are any products you are unsure about please contact us and we can look them up individually for you. Which may no longer happen after todays announcement that Safeway is being bought out by Morrisons. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/2641145.stm) I've always found that Safeway had a better range than Morrisons, so this is probably bad news. --
Guest guest
Our Safeways (Dominick's here) are in the middle of a huge Union dispute and they are trying to sell all their stores. Could thing they just spent millions redoing/upgrading all the Chicagoland stores. nikki , EBbrewpunx@c... wrote: > seems yer safeways are friendlier then our safeways... > fraggle > > > " Shari@B...
