Converting people from meat to vegan in one fell swoop is a bit of a tall

order, and I wouldn't try to convert someone to a veggie... However, I do

think that setting an example of how you can live a vegan life *without*

having to miss out on what everyone else enjoys makes it more acceptable to

people... some veggie friends have gone vegan, and I wonder whether that

would possibly have happened if it wasn't for the fact that we just get on

with it (rather than yelling all the time about what a great effort we're

making, no holier than thou stuff, vegan is just the way we are). Being

vegan isn't much of an effort once you know what you're doing, it's just

that however many years of meat eating beforehand can make the adjustment a

pain.

My parents stayed with us a week or so ago, and my mam claims that she'd

happily live on what we eat...

I know I myself became veg after my cousin and sister had...and now my little

sister and my brother are veggie because of our example...we never preached or

anything...
