Guest guest
Hi Tom, Another Aussie, wo hoo. From Perth myself, been to Melbourne and really liked it. Great Greek/Med food and China town is Vegan heaven. Where abouts in Melbourne? Change subject. Jitsu is becoming ridiculous lately. Last session and session before that, I felt nauseous, dizzy, light Headed, my hands went blotchy white. Been to see doc and he's sent me for blood tests. What should I be concerned about? I mean, what is most likely to be wrong, if it is my diet? Also, do blood test use non-Vegan items/procedures? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
it's the drugs man.... and the booze... they're most likely testing iron levels... possibly b12 levels... any signs of anaemia... mainly just to eliminate that as the problem... supposed problems for vegans... if in doubt take B12 supplements... or a B complex... which apparently also helps protect against mozzy bites... cos it was recommended to me when i was over in sydney last month - the first day i was total mozzy lunch... it was so itchy - (15 bites on one arm, 10 on the other - 20 on my lower leg - few on my back and shoulders)... at the end of the three weeks i had started a mozzy school up and was teaching them how to live a vegan life... most got away ... some were cruelly crushed against my skin... all life being precious... i cannot hold my head up high... , Rowan McCartney <be99rnm@b...> wrote: > session before that, I felt nauseous, dizzy, light Headed, my hands went > blotchy white. Guest guest
Hi Rowan, I have never been to Perth, but would love to, and all of W.A. I'm from the outer eastern suburbs, Scoresby in particular. Melbourne has a few vegan restaurants/cafes, although a couple have recently closed down. Re. blood tests, I would mainly get B12, iron, and cholesterol checked. I take a multi-vitamin each day just to be on the safe side. Your doctor should be able to advise. I have never heard of blood tests using non-vegan items/procedures, but you'd have to ask the pathologist to be sure. Anyway, if it's necessary to check up your health, I think that it's justified.
