Guest guest
> Welcome back ... did you have a good time? I did indeed, though a lot of time was spent on buses in Seattle. Surprisingly I think it was a much better place for vegans than SF, including a pizza place that has a regular looking menu (pepperoni, cheese et al) yet is in fact entirely vegan. And one of the cities top tourist attractions is wandering around basements being told almost anti-American stories of the founding of the city (lots of sarcasm and anti-capitalism, that and jokes about the Seahawks). Guest guest
Cool! You liked Seattle, then? I lived there for eleven years and it has got to be the only reason that i'd ever even consider moving back to the States (but that's something i'll never do willingly, anyway). It is great for vegans. Did you get to Bamboo Garden? Where's the vegan pizza place? That was NOT there three years ago. Gggrrr.... Glad that you had a good time there. The public transport is crap, but...lots of cycle paths. Yea...good place. Very close to my heart. k@ On Tuesday, Apr 22, 2003, at 11:52 Europe/London, mavreela wrote: > > Welcome back ... did you have a good time? > > I did indeed, though a lot of time was spent on buses in Seattle. > Surprisingly I think it was a much better place for vegans than SF, > including a pizza place that has a regular looking menu (pepperoni, > cheese et al) yet is in fact entirely vegan. > > And one of the cities top tourist attractions is wandering around > basements being told almost anti-American stories of the founding of > the city (lots of sarcasm and anti-capitalism, that and jokes about the > Seahawks). > > Michael > > <image.tiff> > > > ~~ info ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Please remember that the above is only the opinion of the author, > there may be another side to the story you have not heard. > --------------------------- > Was this message Off Topic? Guest guest
> Cool! You liked Seattle, then? I really didn't know what to expect, and as I don't like Coffee I wasn't looking forward to it so much, but it was a wonderful city, wish I could have spent longer there and maybe gone out of the city a bit more. > Did you get to Bamboo Garden? That's the one on Roy Street near the Space Needle etc.? Went there for lunch but looking at the menu I wish I had gone for dinner, the opposite was true of The Teapot on Broadway East. > Where's the vegan pizza place? Somewhere around University Way NE and 55th, they have a web site which I think is http://www.pizzapi.net , there were so many places to eat in the University district I wish I'd stayed there rather than downtown, which is a major reason why so much time was spent on buses. Still at $1.25 for 2 hours the public transport there is far better that other here. Michael
