Guest guest
Do you mean the chinese/japanese powdered tubs... I'd agree they aren't nice. However.... I like the little soy milk tubs (individual portioned)... I just got some, although they curdle in hot coffee.... just wait for it to cool. Can anyone definitively say why soy curdles in coffee, but never tea? On the basis of that, it can't be temperature (although it may be a factor), that leaves acidity. I've tried putting bi-carb/baking soda in coffee to neutralise the acidity, but it ruins the taste. So what have they done to the soy tubs that makes it different? Starbucks never serve curdled coffee, they must know something... VEGAN FOOD... In general, wherever I go.. Be it a coffee shop or sandwich bar, I always ask for vegan cream cheese/or whatever. When they say " huh? " , I normally say, " What, you only have cow cream, I really like soya cream cheese, I'll come back when you have some " . This was inspired by NOTMILK MAN, who does this too. I frequently go back to the same shop with this. Haven't had a result yet, but it's inevitable. Oh, and speak really loudly so everyone can hear. Raises awareness or at least makes people think " wierdo " which is better than not knowing. Lets see how many people we can get that " WTF are you on about " look from. I love it.
