Guest guest Posted June 11, 2003 Report Share Posted June 11, 2003 There is a national veggie festival in Cambridge this coming Saturday [14th June] organised by the Young Indian Vegetarians with speakers from the Vegan Society, PETA, CIWF, etc etc plus food, music, stalls, etc. People are coming from all over the country. There are three easy moments to link up with the event: 11 a.m. Cambridge Vegans and Vegetarians normal second Saturday of the month coffee and cake session at the Rainbow veggie bistro [opposite Kings College chapel] 1 p.m. March starting from Parker's Piece [big slab of green in the centre of Cambridge - a short bus ride from the station] with music, leaflets, etc. 2.30 p.m. Main event at the Indian centre on Mill Road [large red building beside the railway bridge about five minutes walk from the station] - Vegan Soc and other stalls, music, Indian folk dancing, awards to people in the veggie/animal movement etc etc Hope to see lots of you there.
