Guest guest
Hi, My name is Camille (veganispretty). I am 23 years old and I am French, so I may not understand everything but I would like to improve. I don't know any vegan in real life but I went to several demonstrations (vegetarians and vegans against Xmas cruelty, veggie pride). I have been a vegan for 5 months and a vegetarian for 1 year and a half before that. I became vegetarian during holidays at my boyfriend's mum's, when she organized a " sheep party " where a poor animal (named Rocky) has been killed and bled to be eaten by the guests after having lived in the garden... After that, I could no longer just look at a piece of meat for several months, and I haven't eat any animal since this day. Later, I realized that eggs and milk were also responsible for animal suffering and death but I didn't know how to stop eating dary products so I began to ban eggs but I still ate dary products untill last february. I don't wear neither leather, wool nor eat honey, and I try to use less medecines as I can (I am almost never sick). I live near Bordeaux, in the south of France, but I may soon move to Paris for my studies (DESS/Master in translation or in multilingual writing on computer). I think a place is good for vegans when it proposes animalfree products and when it ALSO respects animals as living beings. I am not vegan for health but for animals (even if being dietary vegan is healthier....). My favourite type of bean is difficult to explain because I don't know a lot about food in English, but I like " houmous " , and the little green beans that exist also in red/orange... I have never been to the UK so I can jusqt talk about France: my father lives in Aix en provence and it is really a beautifull region to visit because there is nature, but also museums, castles... I love fantastic and thrilling films. I have enjoyed Lars Von Trier's " Breaking the Waves " and " Dancer in the Dark " and I also like British sense of humor. I ate an apple, chicory with nut oil, curry rice and a chocolate soya yoghurt. I more a morning person because I like to see the sun rise but I also stay awake by night when I work or when I go out to see friends... I found out about this list on vegan village website. I have never been to the UK and I would like so I will enjoy any suggestion... (aupair...). xxx
