Guest guest
YIKES!!! I must admit it's NOT such an honor to be labeled the "older person" in the group. Some truths are difficult to accept!! I believe Mick Jagger put it very eloquently when he sang: "What a drag it is, getting old." The reality seems to be that people of younger generations are more informed in ways of ethics & diet & ecology. And thank G-d for that! Hopefully, we can all help to educate the rest of the world and convert more "old people" to a vegan way of life. True... SF is a great place. So is Merry Old England, although I've never been to Nottingham. I was there once... winter of 1985. Gray & wet... but loads of fun!! Peace, Michelle << Hi Michelle . Its nice to have a new “older” person . I am 55 but many people on lists tend to be in their 20s. Nothing wrong with that but if they start talking about films/pop music I find I am unable to join in . I vivited SF when I was in my 20s –great place I live in Nottingham UKAngie >> SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month!
Guest guest
When I became vegan I didn’t even know the word existed. I used to have to explain what it meant, but nowadays the kids learn what it means in Home Economics lessons (cookery!), so we are definitely getting there. Some truths are difficult to accept!! Actually, I was just thinking today what a non-event getting older is. I think a lot depends on one's attitude. I don't do anything different now to the way I did 10, 20, 30 years ago, so why should I mind that my number has gone up tp 46? I even still wear the same sort of clothes, and if anyone thinks I'm dressed inappropriately for my age - well, whose problem is that? Don't let an arbitrary counter affect the way you live your life. Cathy
