Guest guest
Angie... et al... Very well stated... by many. For me it's quite simple. In my head I feel better about the ethical choices I have made. Does that make me feel superior to others? Does my Jewish observance make me feel superior to secular Jews? These are ethical & value decisions that I have struggled with at various points in my life. Certainly as a result of the decisions I have made I feel more comfortable & better about myself... but it's not something I preach to others... nor do I put others down who feel differently. I do believe it is our responsibility to help educate the masses regarding vegan values. Perhaps then more people will choose to be compassionate to all living beings in their daily life. But I believe we can be most effective through example & understanding, and less effective through criticism. For those of us who believe in creation rather than evolution... the meat eating for larger brains theory is void. According to Genesis (and I fully accept many on this list will dismiss this perspective), we were created as a plant eating species. Meat eating was not sanctioned until after Noah & the flood. Hope I'm not setting myself up for criticism with this one... no intent on making this a forum for religious debate.... only hoping to allow another perspective. Peace, Michelle Good group for Jewish Veg*ns... JVeg/ << So yes I do feel superior to rapists/murderers/animalkillers/vivisectionists /child beaters/millionaires . The person I am speaking to won’t know I feel superior, as I am trying toget them to change (and if they do then I won’t be superior) Its hunters and the like and those who think AR people are idiots . I KNOW Iam superior to them. Not only will they abuse me first but they willcontinue in their evil way having been told . They do understand so don’tdefend the scum All vegans are superior so animal abusers because they are compassionate .I’ll stake my life on it that they are nicer to people as well . It issomething they have cultivated in themselves over the years of helpingothers less fortunate in whatever way they can. Cruel people have blinded themselves to the cruelty or worse have cultivatedtheir cruel streak. Angie (Happy to be arrogant ,as I know Vegans-- especiallyAR vegans-- aresuperior, and they don’t just get on with their own life, they activelytry to help animals do the same, and try to hinder the cruel bastards ) >>
Guest guest
I (preach) talk to others about veganism in the hope of saving lives. It is not the same as talking/preaching about a religion which is based on faith because no lives are saved (except the persons soul if one is a believer) If someone becomes a vegan 1000 lives may be saved and if they convert people –and have vegan kids---it escalates . -----Original Message----- Michelle B [ninashel] 31 July 2003 21:41 Re: vegan superiority?
