Guest guest
Hi, Off-topic I know, but I thought the following might be of interest to anyone who hails from the UK and has access to the digital freeview channels: Thursday 28th August 9:30 pm Singer: A Dangerous Mind A profile of Peter Singer, who has been called the most influential and dangerous philosopher in the world. His views on what makes a human life worth living have provoked both outrage and praise. 10:30 pm Peter Singer: Profile BBC Four talks to philosopher Peter Singer, the man hailed as the " father " of the animal rights movement, who helped define the intellectual framework for animal rights. Disturbing, adult scenes. Cheers, John

Guest guest
I'd like to have seen that out of curiosity. There's a letter in the BUAV offices whereby someone has written to Singer about the pigs to human organ transplant experiments and in his reply he has written: It's better they are used to save lives than be turned into bacon. Hello, Pete? Personally, I think the guy's kind of lost it in the last decade or so. Professor Gary Francione's been standing on his shoulders for a while now but he doesn't get on telly.
