Guest guest
This coming Saturday - 11th October - from 12 noon on Parker's Piece [big slab or green in the centre of Cambridge]: national rally against primate experiments with stalls, food, speeches, march, etc. Vegan Society staff are coming all the way from St Leonard's on the south coast with as much merchandise as they can manage, including the every popular Animal Free Shopper. The first thousand copies of Stephen Walsh's new book Plant Based Nutrition and Health have already sold out, but more are expected in time for the weekend - and the author may even be around to dedicate them personally. Lots of other animal-friendly organisations will be there too - plus, if last time is anything to go by, at least a thousand punters from all over the country and beyond. If you fancy a snack beforehand, Cambridge Vegans will be meeting as usual [it's the second Saturday of the month] for chocolate fudge cake and other goodies from 11 a.m. at the Rainbow veggie restaurant opposite King's College chapel. Do join us in Cambridge on Saturday if you possibly can. All good wishes, Vanessa ps. there are trains every half hour from kings cross [london] - 45 minute journey - and good connections to most other parts of the country by train or coach. or try 07957 588253 and see if there's a bus organised from your area.
