Hello, just thought I'd introduce myself here... I've been vegan for

just over six months now; before that I was vegetarian for about six

years. Like a few people here, I've never actually met another

vegan - I come from Durham, and there seem to be absolutely no veg*n

groups in the north east whatsoever. Just started university in

Staffordshire - having come this far south I thought there might be

a little more going on in the way of veg*nism/AR, but since I tend

to avoid big towns and cities at all costs, I was sadly disappointed

=( There isn't even a society on campus that deals with animal

rights. Seems the Internet is the only hope for me at this point. =)
