Thanks for the suggestions about soya milk and coffee.

Will try letting it cool a bit. Not that i drink coffee very much anyway. Its just from time to time i fancy a cup. Ta Simon.

I also have a frother thingy... wonder if that would help.

Didn't realise that Cafe Nero had soya milk. Thats really cool! I haven't had a capuccino since about February because i didn't think i could get it with soya milk. Thanks Siofra.

Wore my new VIVA t shirt to college today... "All this and Vegan too". I am known on my course as "the vegan" anyway. We did a taste test with choccie in Science lecture (working on lesson plans for children - well, thats my excuse!) and the tutor brought in plain choc i could have so i wouldn't feel left out. Bless him - he's really nice!

Oh, meant to ask. Dunno if any of you guys are into cooking but i've got some friends coming over tomorrow night for tea. Got lots of cookbooks but can't decide on indian, trad british or what. I'm terrible at making decisions. Any suggestions greatly received!

I think it's a heat problem..but if you do try the frother sometime and it does help...I would be interested to know.

Thanks

I need some guidance on what to feed RAW SOUL CHILDREN. Age ranges from 1 year

to 10 years. Books, websites or just your own plain advice would be much

appreciated.

Peace

My kids aren't 100% raw, but here are some of their

favorites:

RAw muesli-oats soaked in date-sweetened nutmilk with

apples, peaches, berries, raisins or wahtever fruit is

available and tasty

Apples with cashew butter with dates and lemon peel or

apricot-macadamia butter

The awesome cheesecake recipe that Elaine posted a

while ago (BTW, TAHNK YOU!!!!!!)

veggies and non-sweet fruits (carrots, snap peas,

peppers, cukes, radishes, grape tomatoes)dipped in

tahini-garlic dressing

frozen veggies pushed trhough a Champion for ice

cream(bananas alone or with other fruits) and sorbets

(pineapple, mango and cherries are very popular over

here)

nuts dipped in raw honey

shredded carrot salads

jicama " fries "

Fruit in any way, shape or form

As you can see, most of this is sweet. My 9 y.o. is

more into salads than my 3 y.o., but I think that the

little ones eventually imitate the example set for

them by the rest of the family. I've also noticed that

little ones love to dip things, so you can get them to

eat things that they might not find very exciting that

way. " Boats " made out of lengthwise-sliced peppers,

cukes and avocados are also funto fill with nut pates.

Diito Dr. Amen fruits are the staple. It helped me to bring my kids shopping w/ me and try everything out and let them pick out some. My youngest Josh had asthma when he was transitioning and wanted olives and figs (fresh ones) all day. Those happen to be great mucus removers, ideal for what he needed. There is trial and error and being patient and observing. Keeping a food journal helps.
