Has anybody seen 'The Uncheese Cookbook: Creating Amazing Dairy-Free Cheese Substitutes & Classic Uncheese Dishes'?

 

It's on Amazon.co.uk for £7.02 .... apparently it's an american book ...

Yes, it's one of several classics by Joanne Stepaniak. It even has a

recipe for a vegan " cheese " fondue.

One of my local veg*n eateries (the Blue Sun in Boulder Creek) makes

good use of nutritional yeast based cheese sauces etc (very similar

to the recipes in the Uncheese Cookbook) and I think they're pretty

good. The owner likes to tell a story about how they had a new washer

upper and they'd been giving him one of their famous " steak and

cheese " sandwiches each day and he'd been working there a week before

he realised it was vegan.
