Guest guest
I though I heard somewhere that some of the batches of After Eights were not ok anymore, that you have to check to see if it's an old or a new batch?? Anyway, Co-op own brand 'After Eights' are definitely vegan, cheaper, and not Nestle - much better all round?! You can get similar items from Dr Hadwins (and also same brand in high street stores) though I haven't seen any Orange ones.Michael
Guest guest
I didn't register after eights as being nestle at the time of reading, but now i remember i always avoid them, in fact any product with that nestle logo on it. Yuk, the fiends! In case anyone isn't aware, nestle get mothers in third world companies using their formula product to feed their babies by giving them free samples and literature that will convince them that it is best for their babies. Then the mothers milk dries up, and she can't afford anything beyond the free samples given. You can find out more at this site (scroll down to the section " Nestle Isn't As Good As Breast Milk: Help Protect Third World Babies " ): www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/700357568 Not to worry 'though Elizabeth, there's Elizabeth Shaw chocolate mint crisps and also I've seen orange crisp version in woolworths. Also like Cath said, we can try supermarkets own brands like co-ops, which means they'll be cheaper too Jak - Cath Pritchard Tuesday, October 28, 2003 10:15 AM After Eights I though I heard somewhere that some of the batches of After Eights were not ok anymore, that you have to check to see if it's an old or a new batch??
