Guest guest
sparklers (from one source) contain a mixture of nitrate of barium, aluminium powder, magnesium powder, iron filings, dextrin and gum ... ? perhaps ... some fireworks it seems contain shellac ... about 1 in 10 ... i can't find (so far) any references to gelatin in fireworks .... only in gelatin dynamite... (which is thus not vegan...) Lesley Dove [Lesley] I am sure I heard somewhere that sparklers, like matches, contain gelatineor some animal product. Can anyone confirm whether or not this is true?Lesley **
Guest guest
Thanks, that sounds reasonably OK, my daughter wants me to get some sparklers tomorrow as we are off to a bonfire do at a local high school. We still have several boxes of very old matches in the cupboard from many years ago (leftovers from hubby's days as a smoker), so for lighting the sparklers we don't need to buy any new matches.
