Guest guest
Hi All, I used to call myself a virtual vegan but over the last eighteen months when I was caring for both Mum and Dad I needed some mood enhancers and cheese crept back onto the lunchtime rolls and I would once again eat choc ices in the evenings. So I reverted to calling myself a vegetarian. Some of you may recall that Dad died in February and now sadly Mum has died in October. As one small initial adjustment to my new situation the cheese has been replaced by Onion and garlic spread (not sure if it is totally vegan) and the choc ices by ice lollies. I hope you are all keeping well. Best wishes, Andrew
Guest guest
Hi Andrew, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your parents. With regards the cheese, I was wondering if you've tried a product called " Cheezley " , which is a dairy free cheese replacement? I think the cheddar version is the most realistic vegan cheese I've ever tasted. Although it doesn't melt fully, it makes very realistic and yummy cheese on toast and is good in sandwiches too. Most healthfood stores I've come across stock it, and I've recently discovered my local Tesco's have started stocking it too (I was wondering when the supermarkets would catch on to the dairy free cheese market : - ) Thinking of you, Warm hugs, Jak > > " indypendypuss " <sensitiveman > 2003/11/27 Thu AM 11:53:33 GMT > > Back to being virtual > > Hi All, I used to call myself a virtual vegan but over the last eighteen months when I was caring for both Mum and Dad I needed some mood enhancers and cheese crept back onto the lunchtime rolls and I would once again eat choc ices in the evenings. Guest guest
> With regards the cheese, I was wondering if you've tried a product > called " Cheezley " . Thanks for that Jak. I have been mainly shopping in the village in which I live recently and the onion and garlic spread was a new disovery. Will have a look around when I next visit my nearby town. It was only when posting this morning that I remembered what I used to have on my rolls pre reverting to cheese. Have to admit to McCains microwave chips !
