How do we know if toys are vegan? Isn't it true casein is used in

some plastics? Some brands of wooden toys use beeswax and even

leather, like Selecta Spielzeug. How about the paints? Is there some

directory of vegan toys?

I was not aware of this, and I've never heard of that brand name, I did once notice expensive rocking horses in Hamley's with leather reins though.

 

On the subject of toys, if you are coming to the Vegan Festival on 4th July in Kensington, we have a families drop in room there, being run by ourselves and one other mum between 10am and 12 noon.

 

We are all travelling on public transport so we cannot take as many toys as we would like to have available, so if any other families attending the festival in the morning can bring some toys and games to share in the family room this would be very much appreciated.

 

We find the worst thing with toys is that they are nearly all made in China or other oppressive regimes, so we don't manage to buy very ethically all the time.
