Guest guest
The pub is the Rising Sun in Swanmore a small village just outside of Southampton... is this the same one you were thinking of? If not what is the other Southampton one called? The chef will gladly cook whatever you wish but i usually leave it up to him to surprise me... i've not had a bad meal yet and it's always something different i think he enjoys the challenge. I've had pasta dishes (but not your average tomato and basil variety), cous-cous with a variety of accompaniments, polenta in many guises. It is always very very tasty and you get a huge plateful too (especially welcomed by greedy girls like me!) Where else do you people like to eat? What sort of food do you like to indulge in? (In case you hadn't guessed i'm a big foodie!) Crimson _______________ Want to block unwanted pop-ups? I used to live in Southampton a _long_ time ago but don't go back there very often these days. Last time I was back in Soton (about two years ago) I went to a pub in St Denys which had reasonable vegan options. I just tried to find it on the WWW without any luck, but I did find a useful resource in the process: <http://www.pubinnguide.com> lets you search for pubs on a variety of criteria including whether they serve vegan food. I tried Hampshire but it only turned up one pub, in Alton, so I guess it's not a comprehensive database, but it's better than nothing. > > Where else do you people like to eat? It's one of the few places in the world where being vegan is just normal and unremarkable. I'm moving back to Brighton at the end of the year though and I'm going to miss all the locally grown organic produce and the wonderful places to eat. Not that Brighton is exactly slumming it, of course. ;-) Paul
