It’s hard

to imagine what it’s like in Turkey; animals do not have any value,

people in animal welfare are threatened and shelters must have guards to

protect workers and animals. In some cities there are shelters, but if animals

could talk they would tell us they prefer death above most municipal shelters.

The neuter and release solution is not widely spread and the people are

ignorant. Taking a trip trough Istanbul or somewhere else in Turkey

you will find injured and dead animals alongside the streets. Most animal

welfare activities are initiated by foreigners.
