Dog and cat fur, when dyed, is not easily distinguishable from fox, rabbit, coyote, wolf or mink fur. Since dog and cat fur is usually less expensive than furs from many other species, there is a financial incentive for traders and importers to engage in unethical and fraudulent practices. Many of the pelts are intentionally mislabelled as fictional creatures such as Asian Jackal and Gaewolf or are labelled simply as 'animal by-products'. They are sold as coats, rugs, stoles, accessories and novelty toys in high street shops to unsuspecting consumers. The majority of the European Parliament support a ban on the trade of skins of cats and dogs (364 MEPs, more than the necessary 314, signed up to the landmark Written Declaration). Please draft legislation to reflect MEPs wishes and to stop consumer fraud. Thank you for your time. http://www.strasbourgcurieux.com/fourrure/ Yours sincerely, To: Mr. Dion Taylor Managing Director SNOW+ ROCK Head Office Guildford, Surrey, GU1 1QB England Dion.Taylor Dear Sir, To my big dismay, I hear that you are selling silver fox fur. Allow me to express my wonder why you still think it is necessary to murder and torture animals to obtain a beautiful coat? To a lot of people (this is : people with some morals) clothing with animal skins are repelling and give your company a bad reputation. We all know how fur is obtained, you do as well. But in case you shouldn’t know, I invite you to have a look at the footage I join herewith. If, after seeing it, you still consider selling fur is morally acceptable, then I indeed congratulate you for having a very flexible conscience. http://www.strasbourgcurieux.com/fourrure/ I sincerely hope you will reconsider your policy and repent. I thank you in advance and await your urgent reply. Yours sincerely
