A polite hello to everybody, and...

=== Questions about you ===

1/ What is your name (or what do you like to be called)?

I'm Jennifer. Jenny to some, Jenn to most, Miss to anybody with a

clipboard.

2/ How old are you (a rough idea will do)?

Roughly just about, sort of approaching the traditional half-way

point...

3/ Do you know many vegans in real life?

Not many, three only.

4/ How long have you been a vegan, and how long vegetarian before that?

I was never vegetarian, and have been vegan for just over a year.

5/ Why did you become vegetarian/vegan (if you are neither it would be

useful to explain why you joined this list)?

I was emailing a man in London, and he made my mind up for me. I no

longer talk to him however.

=== Questions about your area ===

6/ Whereabouts do you live?

On the Royal Marine barracks' doorstep in Plymouth.

7/ How good a place is it for vegans?

Not great. One or two veggie restaurants, but as I don't get out much

(finances and work) I can't vouch for them. The major supermarkets all

cater to a fairly decent extent, and there are smaller outlets as with

any city this size.

=== Questions for fun ===

8/ Which is your favourite type of bean?

Mister.

9/ What is your favourite country, or region, to visit?

So many... Amsterdam was beautiful, but so was Barcelona, vibrant to.

I'm in love with Thailand and the Thai people and follow the Thai Forest

Tradition school of Theravada Buddhism.

10/ What types of film do you like?

Non-English ones especially. I love Pedro Almodovar's films. I also like

classic films, Cary Grant being a favourite, along with John Mills' and

Noel Coward's. But I'm more a documentary and book person.

11/ What was the last meal you ate?

Toamtoes on toast, my breakfast, this morning. Liberally sprinkled with

crushed black pepper.

12/ Are you a morning, evening or night person?

I like the hour before dawn, so peaceful and meditative. Evening,

putting my feet up after the days labours is nice. I sleep at night so

can't comment on that ;-)

=== Questions for dull administrative purposes ===

13/ How did you find out about this list?

I saw the URL in the Summer 2005 edition of The Vegan magazine.

=== Other comments ===

14/ If there is anything else you want to add to the above please feel

free to do so.

Nothing at the moment, but I am pretty sure I will think of something

:-D

Thank you for completing a profile.

Think I got it all.

Blessings and light,

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the list! (Ah, I get to welcome someone for a change - normally

someone beats me to it!)

It has seemed a bit quiet here recently, but if you've any questions, just

ask.

You mean someone actually read it and tried a link? Cool!

Hi, Jenny!

Bit of a shameless plug, i'm afraid, but why don't you come along to Viva's veggie roadshow in Plymouth on 20th of August. You can find details on the website:

http://www.viva.org.uk

:)

Hope to see you there. My name's Kat (k@) and in all likelihood i'll be stuck on the Viva merch stall all the live long day.

Well done for going full-on vegan straight away. Wish that i could say that!
