Guest guest
Back again after an extended absence due to house moving and being offline for months! I've found a problem - is there such a thing as vegan ballet shoes for young children (or for anybody for that matter) or if not is there a good alternative that anyone has come across. I know vegan wares used to do them but the factory they used has switched to leather according to the website. I don't want to be paying a fortune because they grow too quickly LOL. Guest guest
Hi I have the same problem with ballet shoes for my 4 year old. At the moment the best I can do is buy 2nd hand satin shoes which at least aren't all leather and I'm not adding to the problem of animals being killed for them (just stopping someone else getting the 2nd hand ones and forcing them to buy new ones instead.....what a dilemma!!). Its a really tough one as I didn't want to stop her doing ballet as she loves it but she needs shoes to do it. If you find any vegan alternatives I'd love to hear from you.
