Local ITV news article re a slaughterhouse sheep

There was a story on our local ITV news programme tonight about a sheep in a slaughterhouse that was soon to be killed - but it gave birth!

 

The slaughterhouse workers were then instructed to kill both the mother and the lamb, but they refused, saying that at such a young age the lamb deserved a chance...

 

So it means a happier existence for both sheep, but it was good to hear that even the slaughterhouse workers do at least have some degree of compassion.

 

Just makes me think that if these seeds of compassion are already in slaughterhouse workers minds, then it bodes well for the long term future of veganism.

 

Thought I would share that with everyone! :o)
