Anyone know if there is such a thing a wheatless tortilla, besides the

obvious, corn? I would love to find a tortilla wrap for fajitas that is

" like " wheat... made from a GF flour. Anyone ever try to make your own

and have success?

Try Asian rice wraps. allergygrocer.com sells some, they are out now. No clue if

they will taste similar - I've not found any yet to try - but that's on my

need-to-find list now that I lost wheat.

If you look in the files, I posted one a while ago that I used for my

children. They loved them. It was very time comsuming, so I have not

made them recently as we have been very busy. But They were very good.

If anyone else didn't get one and won't be coming to the AGM, just email

to dave.palmer and they'll send one. Hopefully most

people did get theirs, but the insert system at the printers skips one

once in a while.

Stephen and I both got ours, though we've seen more than enough of it

recently anyway. We didn't get the famous letter and neither did

another Council member (though his partner did and my seconder did so it

couldn't have been deliberate) - I guess all mass mailouts are a bit hit

or miss, though if we get lots of complaints we'll have words with the

printers. Thanks very much for mentioning it, though.

Feedback re the mag as well as the booklet will also be very welcome.

The copy Council got included some background stuff about Redwood foods

between the motion and the signatures, which was not printed. So far as

I recall, the large amount of supporting material sent by Arthur Ling

was not on the same sheet of paper as the motion - indeed, it covered

several pages.

This year's motions were dealt with in the usual way by the Company

Secretary following consultation with the Chair and submitted to Council

for the 3rd September Council meeting. I absented myself from Council's

consideration and approval of the motions since I did have a genuine

conflict of interest inasmuch as my personal interest was for motion 6

to go forward but the potential damage to the Society's reputation meant

that the Society's best interests were to the contrary. So long as I

remain a Trustee I have a duty to act in the best interests of the

Society rather than my own.

Thanks for your continuing interest. I hope this helps.

Hope to see lots of you at the AGM.

And have a great World Vegan Day wherever you are.

Good wishes,

Vanessa
