WORLD VEGAN DAY

 

Just a quick note to say that in addition to the recent environment

booklet the Vegan Society has managed to bring out its new Nutrition

booklet (a 16-page freebie from the same stable as " Why Vegan " and

" Eating the Earth " ) in time for World Vegan Day. So when you've

persuaded all those people to go vegan and reduce their eco-footprint

you'll be able to give them a neat little booklet explaining where to

get their protein, calcium, omega-3s and so on.

 

All members of the Society will be getting a copy with the upcoming

issue of The Vegan as well as a copy of the autumn merchandise catalogue

featuring the brand new tee-shirt designs, which also arrived just in

time and will be available at the AGM. Hopefully most people will have

their magazine by Friday, so have a look at the booklet and the new

merchandise and let Dave know if you would like to pick up supplies at

the AGM on Saturday or have some sent to you for WVD events next week.

If you're not a member of the Vegan Society, ring the same number or

email info and ask for an info pack - it should contain

all three booklets, a magazine and a catalogue (having got all that, we

hope you'll decide to join!)

 

For those reasonably close to London, there is a big multi-cultural

event on World Vegan Day at the Indian YMCA in Fitzroy Square from 6 to

9 pm, though we won't have the same quantity of goods available as at

the AGM.

 

If I don't see you at one or other of these events, have a marvellous
