Guest guest
Many of you know, IF you've ever read my writings on how vegetarians are perceived and how that interferes with advancing the POPULATION's shift towards plant-based diets, that I hold that we " lumpen vegetarians " are at times held hostage by the images that less shy and socially uneasy vegetarians (aka " vegans! " ) portray. In reviewing whether or not Netflix has anything entertaining (let alone edifying) to show us vegetarians (who might get a subcription @ $5.99/month), other than An Inconvenient Truth (which I have as an advanced copy because I contributed to its production), I " searched " and found the following: Shooting Vegetarians (2000) Neil (Guillermo Díaz) comes from a long line of butchers, and his father (Eric Loeb) expects him to carry on the family business one day. But Neil has other ideas: He's a hard-core vegetarian who spends his time skateboarding and hanging out with his vegan girlfriend. His father is persistent, however, and with no other job or place to live, Neil has no choice but to bloody his hands and continue the family tradition in this twisty tale. Starring: Reiko Aylesworth, Arielle Barone ...: Mikey Jackson Genre: Comedy Format: Widescreen ... Language: English Not rated. This movie has not been rated by the MPAA. So, are you really HAPPY with being portrayed with such a caricatured stereotype, letting us be stereotyped politically, etc.? Maynard S.
