I just don't know how easy it is going to be to get the size right via mail order though, but it's got to be worth a try. New Balance told me today that none of their kids' shoes can be guaranteed to be vegan (contrary to what they told me when I bought them...). Anyway, so I've gone for a size 13 on the alternatives soles site. It's a bit of a gambe but hopefully they'll fit. Maybe one day they'll standardise the shoe size standard!... Guest guest Posted December 13, 2006 Report Share Posted December 13, 2006 The problem with New Balance is the glue apparently - the materials in their " vegan " shoes are fine, but they can't guarantee that the glue won't have any animal products in it. I think I'll order a pair from alternativesoles.com and hopefully it shouldn't take more than two iterations of returning them for a different size to get it right. I went to look, as I'm hoping to get some new trainers for myself soon, along with a pair of winter boots. There was no info about the company on the main page (contact number, " about us " ) or anything like that. Also, some of the boots were suede?
