Thanks - that's great - they have kids shoes that would be suitable

for school etc too. I just don't know how easy it is going to be to

get the size right via mail order though, but it's got to be worth a

try.

Well, my little lad has just grown out of his New Balance size 12's. New

Balance told me today that none of their kids' shoes can be guaranteed

to be vegan (contrary to what they told me when I bought them...).

Anyway, so I've gone for a size 13 on the alternatives soles site. It's

a bit of a gambe but hopefully they'll fit.

Maybe one day they'll standardise the shoe size standard!...

The problem with New Balance is the glue apparently - the materials

in their " vegan " shoes are fine, but they can't guarantee that the

glue won't have any animal products in it.

I think I'll order a pair from alternativesoles.com and hopefully it

shouldn't take more than two iterations of returning them for a

different size to get it right.

Cheers,

Paul

Or you could always go for the larger size and just wait for your feet

to grow!...

Do you have any info on this company? I went to look, as I'm hoping

to get some new trainers for myself soon, along with a pair of winter

boots. There was no info about the company on the main page (contact

number, " about us " ) or anything like that. Also, some of the boots

were suede?

I got the impression they are a new company when i checked out via

paypal - their paypal account was only a couple of months old and they

had a low number of transactions from verified paypal users.

Don't know anything else - sorry!
