Not only did my mouth and throat feel tight and prickly but my hands swelled up for about an hour afterwards as well. At the time I attributed it to the kiwi fruit (which had never bothered me before either, but I thought maybe the skin had been blended in and the whiskers might be causing it). I was tempted to try chewing on some kiwi skin to find out, but it didn't seem a very wise idea! Whatever the cause, the tingling etc sounds like a pretty standard mildly allergic reaction and best not encouraged to get worse. I'm not sure why you want to rebalance your diet in the way you describe - I have never heard of any particular benefits to be had from such a manoeuvre - but it might be advisable not to tempt fate by increasing your intake of soya milk if it bothers you in that way. Guest guest
Very sound advice. if you want to increase protein, you could try moving from Rice Milk to Oat milk which is quite widely available and in organic versions too.
