I imagine there are a few brands around, but since my requirements are

quite specific I was wondering if anyone had any favourites? I'm

actually allergic to UV rays, I come up with a very bad rash in the

summer so I usually wear between 40-50 SPF. Mind you, it's hard

enough finding that with normal brands...

This is going to get to be an issue as the University are cancelling

our free bus travel and I'm going to have to cycle to work, so my

usual strategy of not going in the sun is scuppered.

Any ideas?

Hiya,

The only vegan brand that I've seen that goes that high is Lavera - they

have a 40 spf. You can see it here:

http://tinyurl.com/6ne6d6

I bought mine at Fresh & Wild (now Whole Foods), but I've seen them in other

health food shops & quite a few places online. I can point you in the

right direction, if you need help. :-)

It makes you quite white, but works very well.

good luck!

I've not used this one, but Jason do a children's SPF46. I have used

their SPF20 facial one and that's great, so I would assume the SPF45 is

okay too.

Jasons do one that's something like SPF 46, although it might be a

kids' sunblock. Still, I doubt that would make much difference! If not,

the Lavera one Carole suggested sounds good.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'm going to try the Jason's

one as the higher SPF the better - I find kids' sunscreens tend to

be nice and robust so it should be good. But I tend to vary my

brand every now and then, so thank you for the list!
