Guest guest
Hi everyone- I'm a MSc media researcher at the London School of Economics. I'm conducting a study on people who lead healthy lifestyles (e.g. vegans) and how they receive and react to information on green issues-—particularly energy efficiency. The moderator here gave me permission to ask for your help. I've put together a brief web survey on the topic. It takes about 10 mins to complete, is mostly multiple choice, and of course entirely anonymous. The link is here: http://www.questionpro.com/akira/gateway/988583-22637653-0 I'm genuinely interested in your insights and would certainly appreciate the help. I think the results of the study will be of interest to the group and I'm more than happy to come back and share when I'm finished. Happy to answer any questions you might have; feel free to send them my way at r.cunningham. Thanks for considering this! Cheers, Ryan
Guest guest
Done. Though there didn't seem to be an appropriate option for 'commute by foot' under the 'would you commute by bicycle' option... And no mention of going vegan being an important - perhaps the most important - thing that can be done for the environment. Harrumph! Guest guest
I've done it too....it also seems to assume that we are vegan for health reasons rather than for the elimination of animal suffering for our gains, obviously there are a lot of vegans who are vegan to be healthy, or who eat healthily as a result of being vegan and being the sort of person who spends time being nutrition conscious....... but a lot of us do it for the animals....end of story, and that does not always mean eating healthily. pumpkin - John Davis ; r.cunningham Tuesday, June 24, 2008 9:25 AM Re: Your thoughts on green? Guest guest
What about would commute by bicycle if it was safer?. When I lived in London 20 years ago I cycled everywhere but when I came back this time and have a toddler to transport, after a few outings I just felt it was too dangerous. Otherwise I would though. rebecca --- On Tue, 24/6/08, Helen <pumpkin wrote: > Helen <pumpkin > Re: Your thoughts on green? > > Tuesday, 24 June, 2008, 9:36 AM > I've done it too....it also seems to assume that we are > vegan for health reasons rather than for the elimination of > animal suffering for our gains, obviously there are a lot of > vegans who are vegan to be healthy, or who eat healthily as > a result of being vegan and being the sort of person who > spends time being nutrition conscious....... but a lot of > us do it for the animals....end of story, and that does not > always mean eating healthily. > > pumpkin > > > - > John Davis > ; r.cunningham > Tuesday, June 24, 2008 9:25 AM > Re: Your thoughts on green? > > > Done.
