We are not from that area BUT we will be in Bournemouth for a week

starting 30th Aug and ending 6th Sept!!

We were there last year and will be staying at a self-catering flat

just fown the road from Wessex Tales, the same as last year.

Does Harry Mather's group still meet there once a month? We were

fortunate enough to be there on the week they were meeting for a meal

there, and we went along. I doubt we will be quite as lucky this year

but please let us know if there is a meet up at Wessex Tales when we

are around, or anything else happening for that matter, thanks.

Thanks, hope it is OK for us all to come along (the kids are 15, 12 and 6).

The older two can probably stay at the flat if they prefer, but I am sure

our youngest will come along, unless we are convinced the older ones are

ready to babysit her for a little while by then as we are only going to the

end of the road. Last year we came with a friend and her son and we took

turns with staying in the flat with the kids and coming out to the meal and

somehow did it in shifts as we were only staying very close by.

I cannot believe that your monthly meet up again coincides with our visit!

How lucky is that? I did not really think it would happen two years in a row

as I could not remember when you met. What time are you meeting at Wessex

Tales on the 5th.

I've also emailed a couple of vegan families I know of in the Bournemouth

area to see if they want to meet up sometime earlier on in the week one day

even if it's just to laze on the beach. I like to build strong vegan

community (even on holiday, it can be nice!).

How is Harry these days? I hope he is still doing well, it's good to know

others are taking over some of his workload of organising veggie and vegan

meet ups, now he is getting on in years. He has always worked so hard for

building the vegan community and a great magazine. As the vegans in

Bournemouth say who know him, " Old Harry Rocks " !

I remember last year as well as Harry, we met a lady called Mercy, and there

was a young vegan conservative councillor called Paul, but my memory is

rubbish and I'm not sure if we met you or not last year, forgive me if we

did and I don't remember! I know there were two or three other people but

I'm not sure who.

hi lesley ..

no you didn't meet me and most likely paul, mercy and harry will be

there in sept. as they usually are. my phone no. and email address

is on BVV site website -

http://www.bournemouth.veggroup.org/index.html

also taken over from Harry and which ive moved to into LVw network.

paul is in my Y.group so you can 'see' him there. when you come down

here in future you can always contact me if you need any dates.

harry is fine but has given everything over to me .. he is still

doing the mag. which is online as well now. although the paper copy

may be limited..

i'll tell him you said that ..'old harry rocks'..!! he is a dear

elderly man worth his weight in gold .. he doesn't realise how

precious he is to veganism... i am so pleased to know him..

we will meet from 7pm on the 5th sept.day .. but nearer the time i

send out reminders so if you like i can also email it to you ..?

that is so that people can tell me if they're comming or not, and

how many such as friends or possible children..! , lol then i can

tell tina who sets the tables for us.

who are the vegan families you know ?

are you a VS contact?
