Is there a computer program that calculates how much protein (breaking

down to include lysine and cysteine / methionine), your omega 3 to

omega 6 ratio etc that you've eaten in day, factors for calcium etc.

I'm sure lots of people would say its not necessary, you just need to

eat a real variety of food of lots of colours and types, without too

much of anything. I agree, but I'm also really obessive and I like to

chart things.

Maybe people think it would be counterproductive - making it look like

its hard work and complicated to eat well as a vegan, and thats why it

hasn't been done.

Though it wouldn't need to be marketed solely at vegans - I imagine

omnivores need to be just as aware of the balance of things - esp sat

fats, calcium - they just might not be as aware of it.

Pointers welcome

Vicky

Hi Vicky,

Is this the kind of thing you were after?

http://food.vegtalk.org/main?panel=FoodTemplate & mainNutrients=checked & minerals=c\

hecked & vitamins=checked & sortField=Description & order=ASC

Or, if that is too long a link, www.vegtalk.org, then click on the nutrients

tab on the top green banner.

Wow, John, that is an amazing website. You can even search for foods

rich in obscure minerals (well, obscure to me!)

I appreciate your help, thank you
