bengigit.

The workshop will cost between £8 and £10, including all materials

I actually misread it at first as Vegan Haggis-making because of the name of

the sender!

But seriously folks, at the risk of sounding like the late Mary Whitehouse

wouldn’t something like this be more suitable for advertising on veggie and

vegan groups that are specifically adults only (maybe Michael’s other group,

the Uncensored one would have been rather more appropriate)?

Michael, please can you clarify what category this group is in on , I

know some groups have access permitted over 18s only, and if this one is (I

am not sure), then I have no objection if people want to discuss/advertise

vegan sex-toys (but in my opinion we have to be responsible and consider if

there are young people here).

Well I did think about this before letting the message through, and it

seemed to me that (a) there are no minors on as far as I know

and (b) anyone young person who is mature enough to be reading a vegan

mailing list probably already know what a sex toy is anyway.

However if there are any serious objections to posts such as this of

an " adult " nature on the list then I'm happy to listen and re-evaluate.

Hi,

Well, it made me smile. But I'm not entirely sure it was an appropriate

email!

Hello,

Thanks Paul! I didnt have attachements but my signature did have some links on

it. Would that cause it?

My original reply was to say I thought the harness email was something to do

with horses and so I did not bother to read it. lol :-)

Hi Simone -

Not sure what caused the glitch with the original message but it

didn't seem to have any text in it. This one is fine though, as you

can probably see for yourself.

I wonder if the same materials that are used for these " harnesses "

could also be used to make vegan bridles etc for horses. I know most

vegans would probably not consider horse-riding to be kosher but there

might be a small market for it.

I have had noting to do with the lists for several years, Lesley.

Paul is in charge of this one, and Viv the Uncensored one.

My personal opinion is that a alternative to something that is very

difficult to find in a non-leather version should be allowed.

It was nothing explicit so, to me, it should be a parent's

responsibility to monitor and regulate their children's internet

access, rather than a relevant vegan topic be prohibited.

Michael.

You can actually get vegan bridles made from either webbing (in funky

colours so you can co-ordinate!) or in leather-look lorica type stuff.

You can also get synthetic saddles. They're quite popular even with non-

vegans, because synthetic saddles are comfier and it's all easier to

clean - you can just stick the bridle in the washing machine! Although

not much comfort if the poor horses are being worked to death in a

riding school or being badly treated or used for hunting :( But at

least if you're vegan and have your own horse you don't have to stick

dead animal skin to them.
