Guest guest Posted September 4, 2003 Report Share Posted September 4, 2003 Buckwheat burgers 1 cup of whole, raw buckwheat 3 scallions, chopped ¼ cup shelled sunflower seed ½ cup whole wheat flour 1 beaten egg finely chopped parsley or dill (optional: finely chopped carrot, celery or zucchini) 2 Tbls soy sauce Cook the buckwheat in two cups of lightly salted water until it is very soft. Let it cool until you can handle it easily. Saute scallions, sunflower seeds and other vegetables for a few minutes Combine all of the ingredients, form into patties and pan fry on both sides or bake in a medium oven. The patties stay together better if the mixture sits for at least an hour before they are formed. Serve with techina, ketchup or salsa.
