Guest guest Posted July 1, 2004 Report Share Posted July 1, 2004 Sweet Corn Torte 3 ears of sweet corn 1 glass of milk (8 oz) 3 eggs 3 ounces of butter 2 ounces of vegetable shortening 3 tablespoons of ground, hard, dry cheese 1/2 cup of sugar, to taste Salt to taste (a pinch) Strip the corn from the ears, grind, then press through a colander, adding the milk will help get it through the colander. Add the eggs, salt, sugar to taste, butter and melted vegetable shortening. Then add the hard cheese, mix all thoroughly, and form a torte. Place the mix in a greased and floured glass (Pyrex) baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees until it turns a golden brown.
