Guest guest
I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I am a vegetarian celiac (must avoid the protein in gluten, found in the grains wheat, rye, barley, spelt and oats). I have been gluten-free for almost three years. I am not Jewish, but recently discovered my great-grandmother may have been! She came to America from Krakow, Poland, after the turn of the 20th century. Genetic testing for HLA markers for celiac disease gave us some clues, and I am exploring this possibility - very exciting for me. I have always been interested in Jewish recipes, and now, even more so. I hope to contribute some of my tried and true vegetarian recipes, as well as learn from all of you here... shalom, Karri Ann
