RE: Digest Number 327

More on my last post to N'omi Rose:

If you are eating fish in order to get those healthy Omega 3 essential

fatty acids, you need to know that there are other healthier sources.

Where do the fish get Omega-3's? From seaweed. Other sources include

flax seeds, walnuts. I think I read somewhere that avocados have some

of these good fats. It is important to get more Omega 3's since most

people's diets have way too much of other essential fatty acids so that

their diet is unbalanced in that area.

With fish, just in terms of health, you need to be concerned about

mercury. When fish are factory farmed, there are additional health

risks, similar to risks eating factory farmed meats.

Any suggestion what seaweed brand to buy? I would think seaweed is also

subject to contamination from ocean pollution.

Thank you for any information,
