I wonder if you are thinking of a regional variant of Tabbouleh (aka Tabouli or 12 other variant spellings). Each place and probably each family has their proportions and mixture, but it is a very common salad. I change ingredients each time I make it, but here is a decent base recipie to vary around. -Tomatoes, Parsley, mint, wheat and onion - If you added more garlic, would this be your dish? http://www.e-rcps.com/m_e/tabouli.shtml (burghul in this recipie is what we call Bulghur Wheat, but any whole grain could substitute - Kasha, Barley, Quinoa goes well in its place, too). Always a great summer recipie because it is served cold and uses in season ingredients, with a sharp taste Jeff
