I was wondering if anyone has tried making gluten free matzo balls. This is our

first gluten free Pesach. My son really loves matzo balls and he's the reason

we're eating gluten free. Thank you for any help you have to offer!

There is a Gluten Free Shemura Oat Matzo being sold on Amazon, and apparently it

is made by a Rabbi in London, but I have never tried it or bought it.

Gabriella,

It tastes like oatmeal.  You also need to consult a rabbi as to whether you can

eat it.  Many regard it as chametz and some kitniot and others say you may eat

it only Erev Pesah.

I still don't know if it is a good substitute for oatmeal.

Mindy,

It is sold in Brooklyn, NY also. If you can get gluten free matza meal or make

your own, it should work with a regular recipe.  Since most rabbis do not hold

that it is matza, you can try out your recipes before pesah.

I would try using pulverized oat matza instead of matza meal. Good luck...
